19.7.2024 - Daily Devlog
SLundq here. Today was a bit less productive than yesterday, but I still got some things done. We are working on our prologue, which is an introduction to our story, setting, and vision going forward. We want this section to seem seamless to the player, meaning that they shouldn't feel like they are in any way affecting the plot of the story at first. The player should be able to jump right into our world and feel like they belong there, not like they are being taught how to navigate a new place (that happens as a side effect). Anyway, I got the first room done and started on the second. Yasuzume wrote some solid starting scripts for prologue and continued work on the battle system.
Although our main character has a big personality, the player should not feel like they are being conformed to a character's appearance and personality. Rin's (MC) personality should emphasize and encourage the player to explore and try new things.
